The recently completed survey of Centre subscribers has been extremely useful in informing us as to the types of future activities you as subscribers wish to see being provided by the Centre. Many thanks again to all of you who took part in the survey.
A significant number of responses indicated a strong level of interest in the provision of further study opportunities via the Centre. In response to that level of interest we have investigated what study pathways would best meet the requirements of those who wish to pursue further studies. The most flexible approach to further study is to offer primarily part-time routes leading to one or all of a Certificate, Diploma or LLM in Freedom of Information Law. These routes are focussed on the needs and interest of those who are already likely to have an involvement or interest in FOI and they combine elements of directed learning, face to face contact hours and credited attendance at the regular FOI seminars. There is a significant opportunity to build in work place based learning and associated projects alongside the more conventional learning elements.
The chart outlines a possible three year route to the LLM with exit points for the Certificate and Diploma. Before taking these options further we would very much welcome your thoughts and comments on the proposed structures and any suggestions you may have on content, duration, mode of delivery etc.
